Access and Facilities

Unlike some other sites, the park is open on Mondays. Enter from Paseo de Girasol in the suburb of La Primavera (19.26379° N, 99.20461° W). One way to get here is to take bus route 42 from Perisur.

The path to the right at approximately 19.25479° N, 99.19803° W leads up an initially stony route, eventually reaching an open area with grasses. At this point the main path deviates to the left and continues to climb through pine forest. Instead, continue straight on to a glade which contains much Salvia gesneriiflora (red sage with large flowers). This attracts the Flowerpiercer and Mountain-gem. The bushes in the open areas here are good for Brushfinches and the Solitaire.

You can see dry country birds from the cycle track or main path. Various tracks from these may be less disturbed and so productive (e.g. at approx. 19.26381° N, 99.20977° W)
