Distribution

Africa:
Western Africa: occurs only in DRC and Angola
Eastern Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi
Southern Africa: found only in Zimbabwe

Taxonomy

Subspecies

There are two subspecies[1]:

  • I. m. meliphilus:
  • I. m. angolensis:

A third subspecies narokensis is generally considered invalid[2].

Habitat

Riparian forest.
