Identification
It has two pale grey wing-bars and a pink base to the mandible. The throat and breast are grey becoming dirty yellowish on the belly. The flanks are usually tinged rusty. Eyes are red.
Distribution
Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and Brazil1.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species2.
Habitat
Semi-open woods and scrub.
Behaviour
They feed on insects and berries.
