Identification
38-41 cm in size, with a 97 cm wingspan. Dark gadfly petrel with pale flashes in the underwing. In some light conditions shows dark M on upperside.
Distribution
Breeds on islands in central south Pacific. Outside of breeding season ranges to eastern north Pacific and along the west coast of South America (November to May).

Rocky islets and cliffs.
Behaviour
It nests on cliffs.
