Identification

14cm.

  • Green head and bill
  • Yellow-green throat
  • Dark grey underparts with faint yellow streaks
  • Grey legs
  • Olive-green back
  • White eyes

Distribution

Endemic to eastern Tanzania (Usumbara and Nguru Mountains)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
It was formerly considered a subspecies of Lowland Tiny Greenbul.

Habitat

Highland mountain rainforest

Behaviour

The diet includes butterflies, bees, wasps, locusts and ants which are hawked aerially.
