- Warm rusty brown below

- Indistinct black line below eye
- Dark brown bare skin round eyes
- Purple and violet iridescent hindneck and nape
- Rusty breast and vineous-grey upper belly
- Brown vent
- Bronze brown tail with dark grey terminal band
- Buff undertail-coverts
- Red orange iris
- Purple red legs
- Black bill
Distribution
Southeast Philippines (Mindanao and Basilan).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Formerly considered conspecific with Tawitawi Brown Dove under the name Dark-eared Brown Dove.
Habitat
Mangroves and lowland forests.
