Identification
Very similar to Eurasian Hoopoe this species is slightly larger and sounds completely different.
Distribution
Endemic to Madagascar.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Not accepted by all world-lists and sometimes treated as subspecie of Eurasian Hoopoe (or, if accepted, African Hoopoe)[2].
