Distribution

Macquarie I. and adjacent Bishop and Clerk Rocks, belonging to Australia.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species which is sometimes included as a subspecies in Imperial Shag.
Sometimes placed in the genus Phalacrocorax.

Habitat

Rocky sea coasts.
