Southern Philippines (Balabac, Busuanga, Culion and Palawan)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species^[1].
Formerly considered conspecific with Handsome Sunbird.

Habitat

Moist forest and montane. Common in cultivated areas, thickets, forest and forest edges below 2000 m.
