Distribution
South America: found in Amazonian Brazil, southern Colombia, eastern Ecuador and north-eastern Peru.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
River island scrub.
Behaviour
Diet
They forage on the ground for insects. They may be solitary or in pairs.
Breeding
The oven-shaped nest is constructed from mud, lined with hair and grass. It is placed on a horizontal branch. The clutch consists of 4 eggs.
