Identification

12cm.

Distribution

From north-eastern India to Burma, south-western China, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.

Taxonomy

Formerly included in Brown-throated Treecreeper, together with Sikkim Treecreeper.

Subspecies

This species has 4 subspecies^[1] .

• C. m. manipurensis:

• North-eastern India (south of the Brahmaputra) and adjacent south-western Myanmar

• C. m. shanensis:

• North-eastern Myanmar to south-western China (Yunnan), Thailand and north-western Vietnam

• C. m. meridionalis:

• Southern Vietnam (Da Lat Plateau)

• C. m. laotiana :

• Laos (Tranninh Plateau)

Habitat

Rain forests.
