Distribution
Endemic to Guadalupe Island (off western Baja California; Mexico)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Formerly included in Dark-eyed Junco.
Habitat
Oak-pine forests.
Behaviour
Forages in trees and on the ground, as fearless as many other birds of oceanic islands.
Breeding
They lay their 3-4 eggs during February to June. There may be a second clutch in good years.
