- Talaud Islands and Sangihe Island
- T. g. wallacei:
- Sulawesi, Banggai and Sula islands
- T. g. griseicauda:

- Kangean Islands (Java Sea)
Habitat
Open land and forest, forest edges and cultivated areas.
Behaviour
They are mainly frugivorous, being particularly fond of figs.
They join mixed feeding flocks with species such as Pink-necked Green Pigeon and parrots.
