25–26 cm (9¾-10¼ in)
Male

  • Pinkish-gold patch on side of neck (not always visible)
  • Green central breast area

Habitat

Open land and forest, forest edges and cultivated areas.

Behaviour

They are mainly frugivorous, being particularly fond of figs.

They join mixed feeding flocks with species such as Pink-necked Green Pigeon and parrots.
