Identification

12·5–13 cm
It has a rufous crown, bright olive upperparts and buffy-yellow underparts.

Distribution

South America: found in the lowlands of eastern Brazil (Piauí and Ceará to extreme northern São Paulo)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Caatinga woodland.

Behaviour

Diet

Their diet consists of fruit and arthropods.
