Overview
The sites I have visited in this general area include the Two Rivers wildlife area, right along the Illinois and Mississippi rivers, and Pere Marquette State Park. If you start at the State Park, you can get directions to the rest.
Birds
Notable Species
The park has good walking trails and roads to drive. I saw a Pileated Woodpecker there, so I judge it to be good habitat. Spring and early summer may be best. In winter, see Bald Eagle. View waterfowl in the rivers during winter, including pelicans.

From the bluffs at the park you can also view Calhoun Lake with a scope, when the wildlife area is closed for hunting.
