Trinidad and Tobago, also widespread throughout South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are three subspecies[1]:
- C. c. pelzelni:
- C. c. insignis:
- East slope of Andes of southern Ecuador
- C. c. cyanocephala:
Habitat
Subtropical cloudforest and forest borders. Observed at heights around 2700 m.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet consists almost entirely of fruit, with some insects also eaten.
