Distribution
South-east Asia: found in Indonesia, Lesser Sundas, Moluccas, Tanimbar Islands (Larat, Yamdena and Lutu)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Rarely below 10 m in Lowland forest and forest edges, open woodland and mangroves.
Behaviour
Not a particularly nervous species; tolerant of man. Seldom seen below 10m.
Diet
They hawk for insects, taking short flights from an open perch. May form flocks with other species to forage.
Breeding
One nest in found in November in a small cuplike nest on a branch parallel with ground. Adult in nest.
Vocalisation
Warbling song of 12–14 notes which is sometimes higher pitched.
