Identification

World's largest Wren species at 22 cm

Distribution

North America: found in humid Pacific lowlands of southern Mexico (Chiapas)

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Farmyards and shrubby areas.

Behaviour

Diet

Little know about their feeding requirements, but most likely to be invertebrates, gleaned on or near the ground.
