Has been discussed in context of Pallid Swift and others[2]

Distribution

East Africa
Breeds locally in Somalia and on Socotra, winters in coastal Kenya.

Restricted range species, range may be bigger and undiscovered colonies may exist. Not globally threatened.

Taxonomy

Forms a superspecies with Pallid Swift, African Swift and Bradfield's Swift.
