Southeast Asia: found in Indonesia, Lesser Sundas, Sumba, Timor and Moluccas.
Taxonomy
This is one of the many Sunbirds that have recently been moved to the genus Cinnyris from the genus Nectarinia.
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]
- C. s. solaris:
- Sumbawa, Flores, Besar, Lomblen, Alor, Semau, Rote and Timor
- C. s. exquisitus:
- Wetar Island (eastern Lesser Sundas)
