Distribution
Lowlands of north-eastern New Guinea (Humboldt Bay to Huon Gulf).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1]. In the past it was considered a part of Salvadori's Fig Parrot.
Habitat
Humid lowland forest.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruits (particularly figs) and nectar.
Breeding
The clutch consists of 2 eggs.
