Distribution
South America: found locally in northern Argentina; winters to southern Bolivia, western Paraguay and south-western Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Dry shrubland and grassland, and swamps.
Behaviour
Diet
They forage for insects deep within marsh vegetation. There is little other information available.
Breeding
They nest in bushes, rushes and tall grass. They construct a deep cup nest.
