Identification
14 cm. Similar in shape to other spinetails but with shorter tail
Upperside incl. tail brown to reddish. Head with rufous crown, buffy supercilium, dark eye-line, grey sides and pale throat. Underside buffy-gray.
Distribution
Endemic to Coiba Island, Panama.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
Formerly considered conspecific with Rusty-backed Spinetail.
Habitat
Forest and woodland.
Behaviour
Searches for food on trunks and branches, among foliage and vines.
