Female: similar but lacks orange head patch
Distribution
South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil.

- Brazil on south bank of the Amazon (Rio Tapajós to northern Maranhão)
Habitat
Brushy undergrowth of Amazonian rain forest.
Behaviour
Their diet includes anthropods. They may also join mixed species flocks at army ant swarms.
