Distribution
South America: found locally in campos of south-central Brazil.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
This species was in the past placed in genus Poospiza.
Habitat
Cerrado and open dry woodland, and scrubby areas.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small invertebrates and insects, which are gleaned from flowers, leaves and fruit.
