Myiopagis parambae

Identification

Distribution

From eastern Panama to western Colombia and north-western Ecuador, all west of the Andes.

Taxonomy

This species was formerly considered one species together with Gray-headed Elaenia and Amazonian Elaenia and this was named Gray Elaenia.

Subspecies

Two subspecies are recognized[1].

  • M. p. absita:
  • Extreme eastern Panama (Darién)
  • M. p. parambae:
  • Tropical western Colombia and north-western Ecuador (south to western Cañar)
