Genus: Trichothraupis
Description
This genus contains only one species, the Black-goggled Tanager.
Taxonomy
Trichothraupis is a genus in the family Thraupidae.
Recent molecular-genetic studies suggest that it's most closely related to Gray-headed Tanager, Fulvous-crested Tanager and the Shrike-Tanagers.
