Genus: Tarphonomus
Description
Two species of Earthcreepers, which differ in nest structure from the other Earthcreepers.
Taxonomy
Tarphonomus is a newly described genus (2007) in the Family Furnariidae.
These Earthcreepers have been moved from the genus Upucerthia.[1][2] The reasons for transferring the species can be read in the SACC proposal linked below.[3]
