Genus: Strophocincla
Description
A genus which is not accepted by most authorities. If accepted it would contain four (or with split five) species:
- Kerala Laughingthrush
- Black-chinned Laughingthrush
- Streaked Laughingthrush
- Bhutan Laughingthrush (split of Streaked)
- Striped Laughingthrush
They are all small and have a reddish-brown plumage and a relatively small, slender bill.
Taxonomy
Strophocincla would be genus in the Family Leiothrichidae.
This genus is commonly merged in the genus Garrulax and sometimes in Trochalopteron and Montecincla.
