Genus: Trochalopteron
Description
A genus with about twenty laughingthrushes.
They share coloured wingpanels, a dark plumage (usually rich brown) and the flight-feathers lack pale tips.
Taxonomy
Trochalopteron is a genus in the Family Leiothrichidae.
This genus was formerly merged in the genus Garrulax. The four species of the genus Montecincla were formerly placed here.
