Genus: Ptilocichla
Description
This genus contains three species of Wren-Babblers from the Philippines and Borneo, often called Ground-Babblers. They have:
- rather long, hook-tipped bills
- very short weak rictal bristles
- powerful legs and feet
- a distinctive plumage pattern
Taxonomy
Ptilocichla is a genus in the Family Pellorneidae.
It was formerly included in the family Timaliidae.
