Munias and Silverbills. Most species are native to Africa, Asia or Australia.

Taxonomy

Lonchura is a genus in the family Estrildidae.
Depending on the taxonomic authority, Lonchura may include birds otherwise placed in Odontospiza, Euodice, Spermestes and Padda. Clements formely placed Madagascar Munia in this genus.
