Eastern Africa: Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda

Subspecies
There are 4 subspecies[1]:
- E. a. nigeriae:
- E. a. vulpecula:
- Cameroon, southern Chad and adjacent northern Central African Republic
- E. a. affinis:
- South Sudan, northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, northern Uganda, and northwestern Kenya; population in southeastern Sudan and northwestern Ethiopia presumably also this subspecies
- E. a. omoensis:
- Southern Ethiopia
Habitat
Moist forests.
