Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan
Southeast Asia: Indochina, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam

Habitat
Dense damp broadleaf evergreen montane forests. Bamboo thickets and undergrowth at forest edges.
Behaviour
Their diet consists almost entirely of insects, which they catch by hovering or flycatching from twigs.
