Identification

- Green overall plumage
- Black streaks in upperparts
- Turquoise fore-crown and around eyes
- Black around bill
- Dark throat patch
- Brassy ochre breast
- Yellow line down centre of bright green belly
Distribution
South America: found in the coastal mountains of south-eastern Brazil (Espírito Santo to e Paraná).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Humid montane forest and borders between 500-1800 m.
Behaviour
Usually found in small groups of about a dozen in the canopy.
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of fruits with the addition of insects.
