Distribution
Taxonomy
This species has in the past been placed in genus Pipra.
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- L. i. isidorei:
- L. i. leucopygia:
- Andean foothills of northern Peru (San Martín and northern Huánuco)
Habitat
Rain forest, subtropical elevational zone. Observed at heights around 400 m (4,593 ft) elevation.

There is little information available; thought to be similar to Blue-capped Manakin
