South-east Asia: found in the Philippines.
Taxonomy
This species has been considered conspecific with Blue-headed Racquet-tail, Blue-winged Racquet-tail and Mindoro Racquet-tail in the past.
Subspecies[1]
Two subspecies accepted:
- P. d. discurus on Mindanao, Basilan and some islands in Sulu Archipelago
- P. d. whiteheadi on Negros, Bohol, Samar, Leyte, Masbate and Cebu
Habitat
Humid forests, mangroves, cultivated areas up to 1750m.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit, berries, nuts and seeds.
