- Red crown to hindneck
Distribution
South America: found in Guyana and Suriname.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Mangroves and swamps, coffee plantations and coastal lowlands.
Behaviour
Diet
Their insectivorous diet consists of ants, beetles and caterpillars. The usually forage singly or in pairs.
Breeding
They nest in tree cavities.
