Similar Species
Maroon-bellied Parakeet, which has a green crown.
Distribution
South America: found in the forests of northern Paraguay and south-western Brazil (south-western Mato Grosso)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Deciduous and gallery woodland, also using nearby scrub and savanna.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes fruit, seed, nuts, nectar and flowers.
