- Glossy bluish-green rump

Distribution
South America: found in the Andes of western Bolivia (La Paz and Cochabamba).
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
They are usually to be found in shrubbery around the tree-line. At heights around 3000 - 3500 m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet is nectar taken from various flowering shrubs.
