- Glossy black crown with bluish sheen
- Greyish supraloral spot
- Whitish eye ring
Distribution
South America: found in Colombia, Venezuela Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 2 subspecies[1]:
- P. m. marginatus:
- Coastal eastern Brazil (Pernombuco to south-eastern Sao Paulo)
- P. m. nanus:
Habitat
They are generally to be found in the interior canopy of humid lowland forests.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of insects and fruit.
