Distribution
Eastern Africa: endemic to coastal southern Somalia
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Dry lowland grassland, semi-arid coastal plains with a few small scattered bushes. Short grassland where dunes have been stabilised.
Behaviour
Diet
A ground feeder, but little is know about their diet.
