Identification

Most of the bird is pale with small, dark arrow-head shaped marks arranged in stripes. Lower back, tail and most of wing unmarked greyish.

Distribution

West Indies: endemic to Jamaica.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Formerly placed in genus Dendroica.

Habitat

Montane forests and wooded hills, and less frequently in lowlands.

Behaviour

Diet

Feeds on insects high in trees.
