Identification

13cm

  • Brown head
  • Grey patches around the eyes
  • Striped dark back and reddish tail.

Distribution

South America: found in Colombia.

Taxonomy

  • Eastern Andes of Colombia (Boyacá and Cundinamarca)
  • C. a. hernandezi :

Habitat

High-altitude grassland, freshwater lakes, and freshwater marshes.

Behaviour

The diet includes spiders and small insects.
