Hi @Gray C . As far as I know, Bynolyt is a Dutch brand that sells MIC and MIJ models also offered by brands such as Opticron (maybe the have input in coatings/specifications). Their middle ranges offer great value for money, just like Opticron. So, while I haven't looked for it myself, I wouldn't be surprised if you find the same model sold by other brands.

Sometimes the floating marine binoculars float by themselves.

Sometimes they only float with the flotation strap.
So if the strap is removed it sinks.

I am not sure what type this binocular is.

Also the compass may or may not need a battery.

The best compass binoculars have three versions for different areas of the world depending on magnetic dip.
However, over time these areas may change.

This binocular may only have one version, so less accurate.

Regards,
B.

Correct, Dutch brand from a company called Tecnolyt, part of Way Group.
Product list:

@Thotmosis When looking at 2nd hand Bynolyt binoculars in the classifieds (not a common sight, since I guess the vast majority are sold on the Dutch market, but some find their way to Germany, UK, Spain), I usually find that I know the models from siblings sold by other brands. I had a 10x42 Buzzard I got for peanuts and I must say I found the optics really nice. Then I discovered Allbinos had reviewed them and found that as much as 5 brands sold probably the same model under their own brand and specifications (Bynolyt, Opticron, Vixen, Fomei and Ecotone). Picture from Allbinos:

Since then, I've discovered many models in common with Vixen, Opticron, etc., usually considered good performers and great value in the other brands.

@ yarelli Personally I never had the chance to look through one but I know that they are sold under various names as you mention and have a good reputation. I think the Dutch Birding Organisation (vogelbescherming) sells the Bynolyte, Vixon, OPtricron etc. under their own name, but I'm not 100% sure they are from the same manufacturer. They seem to have a 7x42, interesting:

Edit: I just read that they give 30 year guaranty!
