Your Most Recent "Life" Bird (4 Viewers)

3rd time lucky for a Scaup on Sunday.

I know they are only ducks, and ducks are easy, right? But theses guys always seem to hang around at the far side of reservoirs and I lack the essential piece of equipment for viewing them.

My latest Lifer was a Western Violet-backed Sunbirds in the Bakoutuku aea of Gambia on 20/02/2012.

However this was one of 133 Lifers seen in Gambia & Senegal which included such goodies as Northern Carmine Bee-eater, Martial Eagle, Greater Painted Snipe, Egyptian Plover and many many more.

Greater Painted Snipe! I'd be happy with a Painted Snipe. Truth--I'd be happy with any Snipe.;) Sounds like a great adventure.
