Asia: found in Russia, Siberia, Mongolia, China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan
Southeast Asia: Indochina and Myanmar
Taxonomy
Subspecies
There are 3 subspecies[1]:
- E. e. elegans:
- E. e. ticehursti:
- Eastern Amurland; winters to southern Manchuria to Shandong Province
- E. e. elegantula:
- Mountains of south-western China; winters to north-eastern Myanmar
Ticehursti is not recognised by all authorities[2].
