Identification

13cm. Black crown, black long pointed crest, black eye line, black broad band from chin to vent, yellow line over each eye, yellow patch on hind neck, yellow cheeks and sides of body, green-yellow upperparts, black wings and tail, dark brown iris, black bill, dark slate blue legs.

Distribution

Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Burma, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Taxonomy

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes, well wooded hills.

Behaviour

Arboreal.
