Percnostola lophotes

Identification

Distribution

Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru.

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species1.
It's placed in genus Myrmoborus by IOC.

Habitat

Moist lowland forests.

Behaviour

The nest is a cup shaped structure made from bamboo leaves and twigs. 2 off white eggs with burgundy splotches are laid and are incubated by both parents.
