Identification
15-27cm. Grey, white head, forked tail, patch of hair-like, vaneless feathers on the nape. Their bills are slender and curved downward.

Sometimes placed in genus Hypsipetes.
Habitat
Moist lowland forests and montanes.
Behaviour
The diet includes fruits and berries. Young are fed first on insects, then later on small berries.
The nest is a deep cup made of grass, moss and bark, lined with pine needles. 2-3 pink-grey, marked with red, black and purple spots, eggs are laid and are incubated by the female. The male feeds the female and helps to feed the young.
